We are a Catholic, coeducation high school that serves the Granville area under the auspices of Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP). We are proud to celebrate our Patrician heritage in a modern world while still holding true the values of the Patrician brothers who started a school on this site in 1942. Our college motto: Love, Serve Hope, reflects the vision of Bishop Daniel Delany, the founder of the Patrician Brothers who said 'love God and live together in peace and charity'.
A proud tradition
Our Patrician heritage and Catholic values are integrated into school life with students participating in Religious Education, liturgies and retreat programs. Our highly professional and dedicated teachers and staff are committed to students achieving their best. In close partnership with parents and the Parish, we work to ensure the spiritual, academic and social development of students and do this through a Religious Education program that embraces the core Catholic beliefs and values.
Delany Connected Learning
The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta, and Telstra, have come together to create a ‘connected classroom’ to support a new approach to learning and teaching at Delany College, Granville. Delany Connected Learning is delivering a new model of schooling to meet the needs of today’s learners, and equip them with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a connected, global world.
Designed for Learning
Delany College has undergone a multi-million dollar refit and rebuild in 2014-2016. We offer students modern, fully connected and equipped learning spaces, classrooms and specialist rooms that will support them from years 7 to 12. We offer the very latest resources and modern facilities to meet the needs of today’s students.
Delany College has a remarkable group of staff. They continually strive for excellence to meet the needs of each student – spiritually, academically and through a commitment to pastoral care. They are experienced in a range of teaching and learning strategies in order to cater for individual differences, and give strong support to the ongoing development of the Catholic ethos.
Delany College encourages academic excellence and the attainment of personal best at every level. The curriculum offered at the college is flexible and is adapted to suit the needs, interests and abilities of individual students. The objective of this personalised learning is to extend the gifted students and to support those with ESL and special learning needs.
Today’s students for tomorrow’s leaders
Not only do we develop in students an awareness of the world community, but equally we encourage each in individual, a real spirit of justice and responsibility to work in union with others for the good of humankind. Consequently, we see each student as a potential leader, someone who can develop his/her God-given mandate to be a light to the world. That is why our College places so much emphasis on character growth and provide many opportunities for students to develop leadership qualities.
Personalised learning cultural experiences
The College encourages students to extend their learning and pursue their talents by participating in a range of activities including Band, Debating, Public Speaking, Reading Club, Mock Trial, Peer Support and a range of social justice initiatives.
Outdoor Learning Program
At Delany College we have a proud tradition of sporting success and offer a range of competitive and recreational sports and activities to cater for students’ interests and abilities in an environment outside the classroom.
Creative and Performing Arts
Delany College is partnered with CAPTIVATE, the creative and performing arts program for Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Parramatta. As a CAPTIVATE Hub School we are a place where students in years 7-10 each week come to work with other like-minded students equally passionate about Music and Dance. The program connects them with Australia’s leading creative arts professionals and their wealth of experience and networks.
Celebrating our community
Our college has an excellent reputation for its pastoral care and positive student management policies. We encourage all students to develop positive relationships that reflect the Gospel values of dignity, respect and reconciliation.
With our focus on equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in our connected and global world, Delany College offers your child a quality Catholic education with a distinct schooling model.
