Parental involvement

Working in partnership is the basis for all parent initiatives at Delany College, Granville.

We welcome parent and carer involvement and invite parents and carers to contribute towards building community by contributing to the life of the school and its future hopes and dreams through volunteering roles. These include:

  • parent education workshops
  • social justice initiatives
  • pastoral care
  • school maintenance
  • hospitality
  • publicity
  • fundraising

Parent representatives at Delany maintain close liaison with the Parramatta Diocesan Parents Representative Council, ensuring that Delany contributes to the work of this body and that parents and carers are kept informed of its ongoing work.

The Parents Representative Council represents the parents and carers of children attending Catholic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta. They work in partnership with school staff, the Catholic Education Office, priests and the Bishop.

Volunteer Training

We welcome the contribution volunteers make to the life of our school.

As we are committed to keeping students safe, all volunteers in schools are required to complete the building child safe communities undertaking form and child protection training module before volunteering. These checks reduce potential risk and forms part of our strategy to build child safe communities.
